Residents of Capri are experiencing a bad smell comping from the Wildevoel Vlei Water Treatment Plant. The plant was damaged by harmful material entering the system. Word from officials is that it would take approximately 15 weeks before the plant is functioning correctly. The part will need to be manufactured from scratch to meet the required specification. The City and our Councilor is aware of the issue and have installed a sanitizer to try and neutralize some of the odor coming from the plant.
