Quiz Night Fundraiser for Baboon Watch
July 25 @ 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm CAT
Please join us for a quiz evening with many spot prizes to be given away and a prize for the winning team – plus a bottle of wine per table! Book your table of 4 or 6 and get your friends, family, neighbours together and get your thinking caps on – all to raise funds to pay the salaries of our CT2 baboon monitors!
Baboon Watch WC was started in April 2022 to help keep the CT2 (Constantia) baboon troop safe as CoCT pulled the funding for the monitors leaving this troop unmanaged and at risk from motorists and intolerant residents.
There are 6 monitors that work in rolling shifts and are with the troop from sunrise to sunset, 7 days a week. The men are paid via donations and fundraising. Without these men, the troop would be living in the suburbs which is far from ideal. The monitors have had great success keeping them off busy roads and in Cecelia forest, without the use of paintball guns, just using their voices and body language. These men were previously unemployed and all have many years working with baboons.
Help us to keep 6 men employed and OUR baboons safe – all proceeds will go towards salaries.
